ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The City of Wood River, Nebraska, will receive sealed bids for removal of building debris and site excavation and grading located upon property owned by the City located at 108 West 10th Street, Wood River, Nebraska, to include disposal of all concrete, foundations, sewers and water mains upon the property and restoration of the surface. Contact the City Office (308) 583-2066 to receive specs for the removal of building debris and site excavation and grading. Bids will be accepted at the Office of the City Clerk, P.O. Box 8, or 1002 Main Street, Wood River, Nebraska, until 4:00 o’clock p.m., Central Standard Time on the 3rd day of December, 2010. Bids bill be forwarded to the City Council for its review at its regularly scheduled meeting on the 7th day of December, 2010. Any bids received after the closing will be returned unopened and shall not be considered.

Contractors will be required to submit a performance bond in the amount of their bid upon awarding of the contract. Contractors will be further required to submit Certificate of Insurance for liability in the minimum amount of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00).

No bids shall be withdrawn after opening the bids without the consent of the City for a period of 45 days. The City, as owner, reserves the right to accept, reject or negotiate any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding.
